Our coastal defence consultation

The Coastal defence team in Portsmouth City Council have released the strategy for protecting the coastline of Portsea Island. It breaks the island's coast up into 7 areas that will each be managed in a distinct way. Find out how your nearest coast will be managed here:

Just download the leaflet for an overview of the areas and issues. One area of concern is that the plans are for the next 100 years. But what about after that? Have we inadvertantly entered Pompey's last Century? A cheap leasehold flat anyone? Going cheap !!!
