It will be organised by PCC and the Portsmouth Climate Action Network and we’ll be writing to potential stall-holders very soon.

We’d also like to see a series of events taking place in the lead up to the Fair. It could be a film or talk, a display of work done by young people, a tour round somewhere interesting like allotments, a special meat –free menu in a café…... Anything ‘green’.

We got the idea from Faringdon and you might like to look at their website for inspiration:

They did things like

• Open days at schools, windfarms, ecohouses and allotments
• Special programmes in schools and colleges
• Public talks
• An ecotrash competition
• Bird-watching and other walks
• An ecoswap
• Films
• Organic/meat-free menus in various outlets

We’re sure we can think of even more good ideas.
