We’d like to work with as many local groups as possible.
We
know there are lots of groups out there already campaigning on climate
change. Lets work together – share ideas, increase the pressure!
What you can do
- Get
your group to express their support for our aims (and write a few lines
for this website). This will be really helpful when we are negotiating
with the City Council.
- Think how you can get climate
change issues into your programme. We are happy to advertise relevant
events for you. We also plan to compile a directory of speakers so
please let us know of members who are happy to speak on climate issues
and then other groups may well contact you.
- Appoint a member of your group who will act as a link to us so that we can advertise events and actions and support yours.
- Try and get at least one person to join us at meetings see Events,
but we also have working groups on education, publicity and
fund-raising, research and technology, dialogue with Portsmouth City
Council and developing the website and if your members are interested
we can send details direct.
- Let us know what you are doing about Climate Change.
- Let us have any ideas you have.
- Get your members to sign up individually on the PCAN website and to keep checking the messages.
- Contact local Councillors and ask them to support PCAN’s aims. You can find details of your Councillor on http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/yourcouncil/1120.html. If you have any feedback please let us know.
- Put a link from your website to ours. We’ll do the same.
