Age of Stupid sell-out in Portsmouth

The Age of Stupid premiere in Portsmouth attracted a full house at the Vue cinema. The audience were able to share in the celebrations in London and hear from stars and politicians as well as watching the film.

Verdict on the film - a must! Very moving and inspiring and it covered a very wide range of issues so there's lots of food for thought. Interesting mix of clips, interviews, stories of real life people and cartoons - very effective.

The film was shown in a solar powered cinema in Leicester Square and guests arrived on foot, by bike or in a solar powered car. The guests included Gillian Anderson, Ken Livingstone and Energy and Climate Change Secretary, Ed Miliband, who was given a very hard time over the proposed new coal fired powere station at Kingsnorth with hte film's star, Pete Postlethwaite, threatening to hand back his OBE and to vote for anyone except Labour candidates.

We're all invited to make the same sort of pledges.

Ashok Sinha, Director of Stop Climate Chaos, reminded us that they now have 100 different member groups with a combined membership of 11 million. So by working together, we have a chance of turning things around.
