A new study led by the US National Center for Atmospheric Research has found that water levels are dropping at many of the worlds most important rivers. The experts attribute the drop in levels to climate change.

Rivers including the Ganges, Yellow River, Niger and the Colorado all serve large populations with fresh water. In areas with low populations, water flows have been seen to increase as glaciers and snow melt.
