This year more British beaches failed pollution tests as a result of the heavy storm related rain fall. Although single weather events can not be attributed to climate change, if such events increase in frequency our beaches are likely to suffer. The increased rain fall causes more chemicals, sewage and animal waste to be swept into the seas.
