Oh not another challenge…
Yes the media is full of them and yet we don’t all want to wear 3 jumpers, bath with a friend (oh well maybe) and wash our smalls at 20 degrees to save less CO2 than our neighbour’s 4x4 kicks out on a weekend.
Furthermore why should we be made to feel like pariahs for driving and flying when the alternatives are currently so expensive or impractical?
So what’s different about the PCAN challenge?
Primarily it’s about sending a message that things have to change. Opinion polls keep telling us that most people believe climate change is an issue – but very few people are making any changes in their lives to match words with deeds. So we are challenging you to prove us wrong. Added to which…
OK this is how it works
We’ve worked out that you can typically save 10% of your carbon footprint by switching your electricity supply to a green tariff.
We’ve formed an affiliation with Good Energy, the energy supplier that purchases only renewable energy. If you sign up with Good Energy through us they make a small donation to help us with our important work.
Electricity from Good Energy typically costs 13% more (added to which you would lose the benefit of a dual fuel discount if you an existing dual tariff) than your normal brown tariffs. So a great incentive to ignore this challenge – get it…?
Great you are still with us!
There are two options – the “armchair option” and the “gloves off option”. We don’t mind which you do.
The Armchair Option
The Gloves Off Option
Up for the challenge?
OK if you want to do the Armchair option then click on the Good Energy banner anywhere on our site.
If you want to do the Gloves Off option then drop us an email at and we’ll discuss your requirements before you sign up with Good Energy. |
